Why do users have to put security to "low" to be able to log

Hello i´m having trouble with my site, lot´s and lot´s of my users have problems in logging in because they have to set security to low to be able to... has anyone had similar problems and solved them?? Plz help cus this problem is causing me some serious problems....

Dunno why there isn't a test cookie dropped as soon as you get to the site. Then when you go to the your account page it could try to read the cookie and if no cookie is read when the page loads return a message that cookies must be allowed to login or your cookie restrictions are to high.

Should be included in the default since cookies are required to login.

But is there any way of making the cookies i send out be more secure so people don´t have to lower internet security to low??

They shouldn't have to lower their security level to allow a phpnuke cookie.
The only time I had a problem with setting a cookie was when playing around with frames and iframes.

I assume you are using a windows server?
I would hope that everyone using a windows server is not having this problem, or are they?
Maybe it says something about cookies in the warren online tutorial for windows servers:

Well, my site is in a frame on the page viewable... could that be it?

I´m running on windows xp, apache server though... You can just imagine how much trouble this is bringing me right... - i´m loosing users by the hour

What I found when I was playing with frames, was that the cookie would get set fine so long as the frame and the parent page were on the same site.
If the frame was a different site than the parent, then I would have to allow 3rd party cookies (a lower security setting).

jup that´s my problem... my frame is at http://www.mmedia.is/joigudni and my site is at "my ip address"

Any way to fix this? i really don´t want everyone to see my ip address in the address bar when browsing... is the only way to make them not see it by using frame?

The only solution that I can come up with for your situation would be to just get a name pointed to your IP (for free, of course

)

I think there are many out there, but I am currently using the free services at no-ip.com

Hi how does this work exactely... would the url of my site then be allbabe.no-ip.com or am i misunderstanding something??

It is all explained at their site.

You use your own name, and then there are different choices other than just the no-ip.com address.

... and you can set up one of their automatic scripts to update your IP automatically each time it changes.
