Using phpMyAdmin go to the nuke_authors table and make your pass dc647eb65e6711e155375218212b3964
that will make it Password, then just login and change it. |

I just created a FAQ for nuke to post this damn handy fix. I'm sure thats not the last time this question will be posted. |

| Why is it dangerous? i'm just telling you how to change your lost admin pass so that you can get a new one, before nuke 5.5 Password used to be the default God account password on all first installs. |

As I said before, no flames intended;)
I personally think it's dangerous cos if someone has the DB pass they can now have admin access. (before u say it, I know only the admin should have the DB pass)
P.S. I only want the thread deleted cos I've read it, saved it and dont want anyone else to know, LOL
Peace

oh ... I see what you are saying, amp2000.
I was all set to post and say how there is no security risk to posting this (common-knowledge) information.
You are just saying that since other's have access to your phpMyAdmin, then they can now change other people's password (yours), and have admin access, because they have this secret(?) code.
If they have access to your DB, then they already have admin access. |

| I think what really matters is you were able to solve the problem (i hope), if that was the case then we managed to get something acomplished and that's the whole idea, good luck on the site, glad i could help. |

| Using phpMyAdmin you should go to the authors table and look for your admin username in it, it should be listed there, click on edit and change the password it has now for the one i mention above, when done login to the site and change the pass through the edit admins option in nuke's admin section. |

| There should be a browse button in that window, the window where you're at only shows the structure of the table not its content. |

| If you found your admin username in there click edit and enter the long password in the proper field, should be the one named pwd |

| You were supposed to only change the value for pwd, nothing else. |

| If you are using nuke 6.0 and you are the only site's admin, delete that admin entry and then try going to your site's admin section, it should tell you there are no superuser accounts, then you'll be able to recreate it. I am not sure what doing this will cause if you have a lot of content on your site so you should at least try using the same username you had before to create the new one. |
